Carros de Foc is a circular trail hiking, 56 miles and nearly 9,000 meters of cumulative altitude (adding positive and negative), linking nine saved shelters of the National Park of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici. The route altitudes ranging from the 1,900 and 2,800 meters. The crossing was officially created in 1999, although the original idea emerged in 1987. In the summer of last year some guards of the shelters were a walking route between nine shelters in the Park in less than 24 hours, and one of them baptized this crossing with the name of Carros de Foc. The route proposed unifies and gives character of circular journey to different routes that currently are utilitzados by hikers in an aslada way and linear. So the hiker can traverse els Ports and know everything as a whole with all its variety of landscape, natural and cultural. The crossing consists of five stages. We propose here start at El Refugio Font Ferrera and go visiting other shelters to finish at the same point
